The story is pretty simple. As parents, we recognized how little attention kids give to washing their hands after using the bathroom, before meals and basically, any time we asked them to wash up. We also found that unless reminded and/or supervised, the chance that any soap would find it's way into the process was pretty slim. Most often it was just a quick run under the faucet and done (if that). So we came up with a soap pump that plays fun sounds for twenty seconds. Why twenty seconds? That's the amount of time the CDC recommends we wash our hands to remove germs. What we found was that with Soap Soundz:
Viola! Sometimes the simplest solution is the best. Plus we learned early on that to be effective, we had to make the sound loud enough for the kids to hear the message over the running water. So as a bonus, we could tell from the next room whether or not they were using soap.
In this day and age, the need for good hand hygiene is more important than ever. Kids of all ages (yes even teenagers) need to re-learn how to wash their hands to help prevent the spread of influenza and other infectious diseases. We aren't suggesting that our proprietary audio pump is the one-stop solution, but it really is a helpful teaching tool and it's so much fun that kid's don't even realize that they are forming good habits.
So the kid's version was such a hit, we started coming up with other versions. Now we have a seasonal line, an everyday line and a line of hand sanitizers.

While the CDC maintains that washing with soap and water is the #1 method for maintaining hand hygiene, they also acknowledge that next best alternative is to use an alcohol based hand sanitizer. Ethanol alcohol is a naturally derived antiseptic that has been clinically proven to kill more than 99% of germs. We use only naturally derived alcohol in our sanitizers and all the other ingredients are from nature. We load up our formula with enough Aloe and Vitamin E to try to counter-act the drying effect of the alcohol. While we don't advocate the use of sanitizer over proper hand washing, we are proud to offer a hand sanitizer that is as natural and effective as possible.
